I am dating a transgender person IN REAL LIFE that I love very much and I still voted yes, so I'd like to dare anyone to call my sexuality "fragile".
The beauty of sexy games like Huniepop is that you get exactly what you want but you should also be able to avoid what you want too. Just cause someone doesn't wanna fuck a chick with a dick doesn't make them transphobic any more than a gay person not wanting to fuck the opposite gender makes them heterophobic. If I'm being completely honest, I wish the first game included options to skip certain girls cause my sexual experience with Audrey (and in fact the entire process of getting there) was unpleasant. I did it for that 100% completion, but I didn't enjoy it...and isn't that the point of the game? To enjoy it?
How about this...there is a new mechanic in the game where any girl can be friend-zoned. Friend-zoning is the bare minimum you need to get to the end game content, but along the way you can choose to romance whoever you want. Romancing every girl won't give you anything special other than those sexy pics you're used to getting from the first game. That way you see everything the game has to offer without being forced to have sexual encounters you don't want to have.
I really dont see why anyone would be against having that option, why would anyone vote for no? If you want to bang Polly, thats great, you have the option to do so. But why force others who may not want to? What would be the point? If 100% ing the game comes with some kind of perk, like a new game mode or something, I would feel pretty bad if I forced people into having a sexual encounter that they were not comfortable with. If the option was there, people who want to fuck Polly can, and people who dont wont, and everybody wins.
It's not forcing people to have a sexual encounter they don't feel comfortable with, it is making people play a game in order to beat the game. Nothing is different about Polly, she's a part of a video game just like all the others. An option to skip one in order to complete the game would be stupid no matter which one it was, unless the option was for every single character, which renders the entire game pointless. You already won't have to play it graphically because of censor options, asking to just completely skip a section of the game to maintain your fragile sexualities is ridiculous. Don't play the game that involves fucking the chick with the dick if you don't want to fuck the chick with the dick that badly.
So if someone likes 90% of the game, and dislikes 10% of the game, well fuck them they are fragile little flowers and dont deserve to have fun or play the game? I just dont understand this mentality of, "You have to be completely ok with EVERYTHING sexual, or you are a precious snowflake and deserve to rot." Like for some reason its now wrong for all people to not be gay.
By that argument the Devs could put anything in the game, and you would HAVE to be ok with it. And I hate to break it to you, but yes, there is something different about Polly. Im pretty sure that NONE of the other girls in the game have a dick.
How does having this option to skip a sexual encounter somehow nullify the entire game? How does it hurt anyone? You say that it makes the game pointless. I hate to break it to you again, but the point of the game is to have fun. And from what I can tell, almost half of the people that want to play this game, dont find fucking a chick with a dick fun.
Also just for the record, asking to completely skip a small section of the game to stay within a players sexual boundaries is defiantly not ridiculous.
Seriously, you have half the people saying, "I dont feel comfortable fucking a chick with a dick, please dont force me to in order to 100% the game." And the other half saying, "To fucking bad, its a part of the game, you have to do it or you cant 100%." And you dont see a problem with that?
@ntfrystr I find it hard to believe that you said all of that, with a straight face. Whats with this idea that gaming has to be HARRRRDCORRRRE? That it somehow makes you special, because you toughed through a portion of the game that you didnt like?
To me it seems like YOUR the snowflake, because how dare someone be able to get 100% of the game done, without "earning" it by suffering through parts they dont like, just like you did.
Heres a question, what thing indicates to you that the creators of HuniePop even wants their game to be HARRRRDCORRRRE? Them asking this question alone, signifies that they are aware that a lot of their players might not enjoy some content, and that they want to do something about it.
I really doubt that HunieDev have the attitude of, "Fuck 40% of the people who want to play our game, they are bitchlings. Only true game fans should earn 100%."
Yeah, fuck them, they're pathetic little snowflakes.
There are plenty of sections in games that people don't like, but they still have to play them if they want to get 100%, because that's what real hardcore completionists do. They complete the game 100% by doing everything.
And then there's little bitchnuggets like you, "oh, I don't like that, don't make me play it." Then don't romance her. Don't fuck her. Fail the dates. Nobody's forcing you to get 100%. And if you want 100%, you have to earn it.
Either make every sexual encounter optional (you could even make a doofy "friendzone" joke ending or something out of it) or don't tie unlocks to sleeping with every girl. Doing anything else would unfairly single out and other Polly for no reason other than a bunch of reactionary whiners are complaining that there's ONE character in a harem game that they're not attracted to, as if that's never happened in any other harem story.
What a stupid counterpoint. You didn't even need to kill anyone in No Russian. The option to skip it was just Activision caving to whiny moral guardians, who I THOUGHT devs were supposed to just ignore but I guess not when it's convenient.
