Which type of HUD UI do you prefer?
Option B - Just as it is now, the players must choose when to open their inventory or preemptively memorize their own status. 38097
Option A - Without having to open the inventory, the players should be able to check the availability and quantity of consumable items and grenades through the in-game UI. 18043
i like how it is now but we should have an option to click and see our teammates inventory. that way in down time you can quickly check your team stuff and get them to drop what u need. it suck when ur runing around just to find out your teamate had plenty of stuff to share and its quicker than manually listing out everything they have.
I think adding all that info takes away from the experience. in real battle you don't have a hud to display your inventory; you have to be aware of your situation at all times, that means not just your surroundings but your inventory as well. we have brains part of combat is to use the brain as well. a good soldier can keep aware of his inventory and care out his duty to his best abilty with his or her situation at hand without advanced computer aid. if it can be done in real life it can be done in game as well. we have all the info needed in the hud already. I feel if any thing give a mode with no hud display see who has real skill then ( a version of first person view).......
"less is more" - mies van der rohe. As a designer myself in architecture and a hard core gamers I've noticed games are not to different in the sense when it comes down to design and the process of creating something that everyone will use. Moreover, when im designing a project i never want to overdue what the core idea is. Therefore in your case I lean more towards Option B:
B. Just as it is now, the players must choose when to open their inventory or preemptively memorize their own status.
-As a realistic battle royale, too much information can detract from the immersive
experience
-Understanding the risks of checking your inventory during certain situations is part
of the battle royale experience
-The ability to make quick decisions based on the player's understanding of their
current status, without relying on the UI, is one of many important skills in battle royale
-A minimal UI in the game improves immersion, which in turn provides more enjoyable and intense moments
Because the experience of immersion is far greater than that of focusing on UI. The whole games purpose is to feel that your on your toes the whole time or not, people have different play style but for me that is how i experience it the best. On the otherhand, Option A seems more instant and informed which is a great idea.
A. Without having to open the inventory, the players should be able to check the availability and quantity of consumable items and grenades through the in-game UI.
-As a competitive shooter, the player must have all information readily available to facilitate fast decision-making and focus on tactics and combat
-Opening the inventory screen greatly reduces the player's situational awareness and hinders their ability to concentrate on the competition
-The availability of this information allows low-level players to perform at a higher standard and provides greater accessibility to new players
Here is my suggestion instead of UI why not make it on character model itself. You get both Option A and B. For example a backpack that has pockets on the sides that can either hold sodas or pain killers. bandages that strap around the back or for when you have limited space without gear then your pants can hold items that you can visually see. New players and a more experienced player will still be informed without the distraction of the UI. Why not give that option. what do you all think? Is this a great idea if so give this comment a like? bad? Any better ideas to make this an option rather than choosing A or B?
The HUD that we have for now is the great. Expecially when you can switch it off (CTRL+U). I loved hardcore modes in Call of Duty multiplayer, when you don't have nothing but the gun and it's sight. The cleaner interface bring you more realism and atmosphere.

i think you need to reduce amount of info in the HUD like the par above the mini map indicates how far are you from the gas i think players should be aware of this by opening the map... and this make the environment more challenging .
Хммм, ну скорее всего б, и как по традиции ХУЙ
Option B. I want play hardcore game, not for kids.
instead of having a hard limit on inventory space you should have the weight of your items and weapons affect your run/walk speed.
A good compromise would be a HUD that only appears when you press a key so you still have quick access to your stats but you still have to take a moment to press and look like you've taken a quick glance into your bag.
I think there should be a physical representation (on the character) of how many grenades you have. Allow up to, let's say, four grenades to be strapped to your utility belt at one time and the rest are stored in your backpack. You'll know your running low when you only have a couple grenades left on your belt.
I also wish the HUD would show what attachments are on your equipped weapon. Maybe in a different color, like a bright blue or something.
I'm a fan of how it is now. No where in a real person's inventory can they just 'see' how many frags or med kits they have. They should know and if they don't then they have to check. As in real life the you can't check your bag while looking down your sites.
I would like the bar that shows you and how far you are from circle/how close blue circle is to passing you movable or place under the compass.
Maybe have both but the default should be A, and a custom hardcore type server setting which enforces B.
¿Por qué no los dos? Why not please everyone and make UI elements toggle-able?
I feel like this game excels because of the immersion so with having to stop and look into your backpack it makes sense that you're not gonna be fully aware of your surroundings.
Would love to be able to change the color of the crosshair :)
B - with a caveat. I'd like to be able to right-click items on the ground to apply accessories on the ground directly to my currently selected or primary weapon - without having to mouse and click a second time or(even worse) drag them.
Even better, letting me press 1/2/3 while highlighting to quickly select where I want an accessory to go, or left click to bag, right click to put on current. (or next most-intelligent location).
I dont want the UI to be cluttered, keep it as is
